    How to Record Fixed Asset Depreciation

    in General Ledger

    Go to General Ledger.

    1. Select Journal Entry.

    2. Click New.

    3. Enter the double entry for recording depreciation (Refer below snapshot).

    4. Click Save.


    It's recommended to record this journal every month. Don't worry, you can do it easily with this simple copy paste feature in SQL Account.

    1. Open one of the monthly depreciation journal entry.

    2. Right click on the Journal Entry header.

    3. Select Copy Journal Entry.

    4. Click New.

    5. Right click on the Journal Entry header.

    6. Select Paste Journal Entry.

    7. Edit the date, description and amount > Click Save.
